Description

So, I'm working on my Neliel Cosplay!! The mask is awesome! On these pictures it's not fully done yet. I'm writing down the materials I have used and Ideas of making it, so other Neliel cosplayers can make a great Neliel cosplay! :)

Material: The horns are made of Paperclay, it's a light weight clay, very easy to work with, you can add a splash of water now and then to smooth it out and keep it wet. The rest of the mask: Hobby Clay, with a ceramic finish when it's dry. Also like the paperclay, easy to work with, you can add water, this one is a bit heavier and will shrink 0,5-1 cm in size during the drying time.
This mask will in the end not be that heavy, but you'll probably be tired after a while.
If you have work with clay or are a good sculpture, this will be no problem to make, pick tools of your choice to work with.
For the finishing touches, I'll use sandpaper, finish the surface and then paint it. The last thing to do is: glue a piece of black fabric on the inside and tiara so it will stay on your head. Now good luck to you all!
Ask me anything if you want to know more.

Very nice work! I am thinking of trying paperclay to make a fox mask and have a question for you: I am thinking of taking one of those plastic craft mask and using paperclay to make a muzzle and shape the face. How thick can you layer it? Could I make the muzzle out of solid paperclay or should I use a tinfoil filler or something? Just trying to get ideas!

Thanks in advance for any advice! :)
